A NCREASE the production of energy from renewable sources and reduce at the same time, the charges in the bill to the consumer. are the objectives of the legislative decree for the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency adopted by the Council of Ministers on 30 November. The draft decree, which implements and enforces the mandatory targets set by Europe, then translated into concrete measures the strategies outlined in the National Action Plan (PAN) issued in July the European Commission, to achieve the 17% share of renewable energy sources on national energy consumption. To achieve this objective, the Decree provides for the rationalization and adaptation of the system of incentives to produce and use the 'renewable energy to produce electricity and heat, the identification of measures aimed at increasing energy efficiency in various sectors of energy use, the necessary simplification of permitting procedures, development of network infrastructure needed for the full exploitation of renewable sources. The measure also sets out arrangements for the dissemination of information, monitoring of progress against objectives. Among the most important aspects of the decree is reforming the law of the support systems, namely the incentive systems.
