Will be presented the book "The long summer of Toni" with the important presence of the author Putzolu Antonio (originally from Borth) and with the exception of the speakers, Dr. Tonino Oppes and prof. Giuseppe Marci, will present his book. Scenario is the small village of Borth during the Second World War: A child is in a German camp, the ideal space to fuel his fantasy world, unaware of how potentially violent nature of the military in which it moves. Toni, the novel's protagonist, moved by curiosity, goes into the field and making just liking Marshal Willi is dispatched to retrieve the eggs for soldiers. Are revealed as the story of the lives of villagers, Toni visit daily to find the eggs. A Bildungsroman in which bravely trying to bring out what unites human beings and makes them sympathetic, even when the story does everything possible to divide them, but also a way to breathe, and ideally with the imagination, the air our country at the time of World War 2. Only heard stories from grandparents to young people intrigued with their stories of daily life often difficult, sometimes adventurous, but really much more of a life time sacrifices to overcome that moment of extreme poverty crossed by most of the families of the time.
